good for freeing mac
Let’s face it: computers become outdated and slow as time passes — even for Macs! I bought my MacBook Pro around 2011 and noticed within the last six months or so that things were slowing down..more than I would have expected. Using this app has made a noticable difference in performance and usability by clearing out unnecessary files that bog down the simpliest of tasks (among other features!) I never thought I would need to use an application like this, but I’m very happy with what I’ve seen over the past few months! Thank you thank you thank you!
After running the app on a 2012 McBook Pro, the unit does appear to operate with less latency after cleaning orphaned system and cache files along with logs. Additionally, my work requires that a recognized antivirus be installed; I’ve replaced Kaspersky with Bitdefender and the profomance of this OS X El Capitan laptop has improved significantly.
This might be the greatest app ever. I don’t know. What I do know, while trying to download and install it, Both my virus apps yelled at me…lol. I was informed by both that it contained adware. So I decided against it.
This was worth the 99 cent for sure, done in minute so I’m a happy user.
Uninstall the software if you have it on your computer. Symantec detected a trojan virus in the software package. Not worth having on your computer - uninstall!!
I am not a tech savvy Mac user, but I know there are scores of documents and records and lines of software in this computer that are probably not needed anymore. I wouldn’t know where to begin to find them, but this app cleans the System, Logs, Trash, and partial downloads with just one click. I’m looking forward to seeing if the cleaning results in a smoother running Mac.
My MacBook has been running so slow, it seemed no matter what I did, it didn’t help….Until Now! This Tweeked it up perfectly! I am so glad I got this! Thank you!!! WOW! It’s running like it should! A Must Have!!!
I recommend you go to the about your mac and check the storage before and after the cleaning. You will definitely see the difference.
I know I could do most of the housecleaning that this app does myself, but it is nice to have everything in one place.
I have used other apps to try and do what this app did in seconds!!!
its very user friendly and Ive been successful with some stuff already. Hope it keeps up!
Great Application
Does what it says it will do. I did use the large file finder to look at my pictures, and found that some ordinary pictures I really didn’t care about were each about 9 meg. Got rid of the ones that really didn’t matter and saved a lot of space. I had to do it manually, because there is no way to view the picture files when found by the program. Other than that, really great. J
A lot of these apps look great visually, but they don’t actually do anything to help. I didn’t notice much of an improvement after using it, so I can’t imagine its that effective. If it really does clean up your computer and make it more efficient, then I would say its great.
The free version does a great job, cleans files, restores memory and disk space. Other expensive software will just do the same but charge you. This one is best.
After trying to do a lot of manual cleaning myself, I still needed to free up space on my drive. I did the one-click cleaning on this service first, and that cleared up about 2 GB. Then, I used all the "Optimization" and "Manual Cleaning" options and was able to free up about 45 GB of space. Mostly in old iPhone backups that I didnt need anymore. What a relief! It was fast and easy. Heres hoping it was safe to use — so far, so good. (Posting day after the cleanup). THANKS for the free software, guys!
I know virtually nothing about computers, so this app was perfect for me. It was free, it worked very fast and helped me attain my goal of gaining more disk space.
Easy to use app with faster output. It can clean a lot of memory that help my iMac run a little bit faster. Great app for a person who likes everything sorted out and clean.
I felt my MBP was slowing down and searched for free tune up program. I came across this one and tried to download the app from the app store; however, the Norton anti-virus I have kept flagging it as ‘Trojan’. It deleted it 3 times in a row. I preferred to be on Norton’s side and declined to use this program. Case in point: this free program MIGHT be some malicious kind of program. FYI- I’m as naive as it can get when it comes to programs.
